Love astronomy? Let us to introduce you to astrophysicist Jen Gupta
With the launch of The Astro Science Challenge: LIVE!, we’ve got a lot of Cadets eager to learn even more about astronomy. Thankfully, we’ve got just the thing!
Each year, UNSA’s HQ The Space Shed hits the road stopping off at music, science and arts festivals across the UK. As well as playing host to inspirational storytelling shows (and the occasional DJ set), Jon Spooner, Director of Human Spaceflight, also interviews scientists and climate experts, giving audiences the chance to ask questions to the experts. We then share our conversations with the world through our podcast, Live from The Space Shed.
While we were in Latitude Festival’s Faraway Forest, we introduced audiences to astrophysicist and science communicator Jen Gupta. Jon and Jen discuss:
- what it’s like to be an astrophysicist
- the weirdest thing in the universe
- what galaxies look like
- printing your own 3D galaxy (!)
- time travel
- and smashing the patriarchy
